Most of the app's content is from the show (including video clips), although there is a new video intro and a list of dos and don'ts for each city. It's currently available in the cities Bourdain visited in season one: Amsterdam, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, Rome, San Francisco, and Singapore. (For now, you cannot add your own locations, although The Layover website promises that's coming.) Produced by the Travel Channel, the app contains information, hours, and Bourdain's take on the locations from the show, which you can save to create your own itinerary and check into in order to earn Foursquare-esque badges. Now you can eat where Bourdain ate and sleep where Bourdain slept - and only where Bourdain ate and slept. Well look at that, Anthony Bourdain's The Layover has its very own iPad/iPhone app ( available now from iTunes for $1.99).
